The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre is a Dubai government space organization and a central institution in the UAE National Space Programme. It develops and operates satellite missions, leads the UAE Astronaut Programme, and supports scientific research, space services, and exploration projects for the UAE and the wider Arab region. Its portfolio includes Earth-observation satellites such as KhalifaSat and MBZ-SAT, the Emirates Lunar Mission and Rashid rover programme, participation in the Emirates Mars Mission, and the Emirates Airlock contribution to the Lunar Gateway. Based in Al Khawaneej, Dubai, MBRSC also runs education and research initiatives that help train Emirati engineers, scientists, and astronauts for long-term national space capability.
