Patrick Pierre Roger Baudry, born on March 6, 1946, in Cameroon, is a retired lieutenant colonel in the French Air Force and a former CNES astronaut. He became the second French citizen in space when he flew on the NASA Space Shuttle mission STS-51-G in 1985 as a payload specialist. During the mission, Baudry was responsible for scientific and medical programs for French and American research laboratories. He has logged over 4,000 hours of flight time and has flown over 100 different types of aircraft.
