Richard Robert "Ricky" Arnold II, born November 26, 1963, is an American NASA astronaut selected in 2004. He's spent 209 days in space on STS-119 and ISS Expedition 55/56. A former middle school science teacher, he taught in Maryland, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, and Indonesia. On the ISS, he connected with schoolchildren via live video, conducting experiments as part of NASA’s Year of Education on Station. He has 5 EVAs, totaling 32 hours and 4 minutes.
