AEL Sistemas

AEL Sistemas is a Brazilian aerospace and defence electronics company based in Porto Alegre, operating since 1982 and part of the Elbit Systems group since 2001. Its activities span research, design, production, systems integration and lifecycle support for avionics, command and control, tactical communications, electro-optics and remotely piloted systems. Aerospace work includes cockpit displays and computers, aircraft modernisation and integrated support for fixed-wing and rotary-wing platforms. Its space portfolio includes satellite electronics developed with INPE and an onboard computer for medium and large satellite platforms under the SIA project. AEL also participates in the Visiona-led SatVHR development effort, with responsibility for onboard computers and the spacecraft’s control systems. The company’s headquarters are on Avenida Sertório in Porto Alegre.
