Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau

The Mikoyan-Gurevich Design Bureau was the Soviet aircraft-design organization founded by Artem Mikoyan and Mikhail Gurevich in 1939. Its postwar swept-wing jet work produced the MiG-15 and a long line of influential fighter aircraft; the actor is retained as the historical design and production authority rather than replaced by the later Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG or United Aircraft Corporation successors.
