OKB-1
OKB-1 was the Soviet special design bureau led by Sergei Korolev that designed and managed the first Luna spacecraft, Sputnik, and other foundational launch and space systems. The bureau became TsKBEM in 1966 and is a distinct historical operating identity in the lineage of today’s RSC Energia.
