Satrec Initiative is a South Korean developer of Earth-observation satellite systems, founded in 1999 by engineers involved in Korea's first satellite. It designs and manufactures satellite platforms, electro-optical payloads, onboard components and associated ground systems. Its SpaceEye product portfolio includes high-resolution optical and synthetic-aperture-radar satellite designs. Ground offerings cover mission control, flight dynamics, observation planning, data management, image reception, processing and calibration. The company operates research and development complexes in Daejeon, with laboratories for optics, electronics, flight-hardware assembly, composites, integration and testing. Its wider service network connects spacecraft engineering with satellite-imagery distribution and geospatial analytics. These capabilities support domestic and international commercial and government Earth-observation missions.
