The Central Design Bureau of Experimental Machine Building, abbreviated TsKBEM, was the Soviet spacecraft and rocket design bureau formed when OKB-1 was reorganized in March 1966. Led by Vasily Mishin, it developed and managed Soyuz and the L1 and N1-L3 lunar programs, including the 7K-L1 Zond circumlunar spacecraft; TsKBEM became NPO Energia in 1974.
