Air Force Flight Test Museum

The Air Force Flight Test Museum at Edwards preserves flight-test history from World War II to the present through more than 85 historic test and prototype aircraft, propulsion systems, missiles, life-support equipment, technical drawings, test reports, wind-tunnel models and personal memorabilia. Admission is free, and the existing Edwards museum is open Tuesday–Friday 9:30–16:30 only to visitors with current base access; it is closed to the general public. The Flight Test Historical Foundation says a new public museum is anticipated in 2026, but no opening date is confirmed. The Blackbird Airpark annex at 2503 E Avenue P, Palmdale is open Friday–Sunday 11:00–16:00 and displays an SR-71A, A-12, D-21 and U-2.
