Air Force Museum of Alberta

Air Force Museum of Alberta is a founding member of The Military Museums in Calgary and chronicles Royal Canadian Air Force history from the First World War to the present. The visitor experience combines the main Air Force Gallery, artifacts, interactive displays, restoration work and a nearby Cold War Exhibit in simulated hardened-aircraft shelters with four iconic Cold War aircraft, including the Canadair-built CF-86 Sabre, CF-104 Starfighter and CF-18 Hornet. Official visitor information says tickets are purchased on-site or online through The Military Museums; the main museum is open daily 10:00-17:00, while the Cold War Exhibit is open 10:00-16:00 with restricted staffing hours. The museum closes on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day; free parking and wheelchair access are available.
