Air Force Museum HQ EAC AF in Upper Shillong presents the Indian Air Force’s Eastern Air Command history through aircraft, aviation equipment, photographs and military memorabilia. The visitor site records the museum’s 15 April 2004 inauguration inside the Headquarters Eastern Air Command campus near the main gate, with outdoor displays including Hunter, ISKRA trainer, DHC-4 Caribou, Mi-4 helicopter, a MiG-21 cockpit, jet engines, SA-2 surface-to-air missiles and models of AWACS, Chakor and Streak Shadow; a flying simulator is also available. The current operator page publishes daily 09:00–17:00 access; because the museum is inside an active command campus, visitors should confirm current gate and identification requirements before travel.
