Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum

Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum is a Smithsonian-affiliated aerospace museum and education center in Portage and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Its public experience spans the Flight Innovation Center at 6151 Portage Road and the Flight Discovery Center at 3101 East Milham Road, with a short accessible connection or electric shuttle that can depend on staffing and weather. The two centers present more than 100 air and space artifacts, interactive exhibits, full-motion flight simulators, amusement rides, public restoration work, archives, camps and STEAM programs. Current operator hours are Monday–Saturday 09:00–17:00 and Sunday 12:00–17:00 for the Flight Innovation Center; the Flight Discovery Center is open Monday–Thursday 09:00–17:00, Friday–Saturday 11:00–17:00 and Sunday 12:00–17:00. The operator’s current holiday schedule closes both centers on November 26 and December 25, with early closing at 16:00 on December 3 and 15:00 on December 24; confirm other special dates before travel. One-day admission is $19.50 for adults, $16.50 for seniors age 60 and over, $17.50 for children ages 5–17 and free for children ages 0–4; free parking is available. Outside food is not allowed at the Flight Innovation Center, but picnic tables and a pavilion are available between the buildings. Rides and flight simulators are included with admission but may close temporarily for maintenance.
