Airborne Museum Sainte-Mère-Église preserves the airborne operations of the Normandy landings and the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. Its five-building visitor experience includes an authentic Waco glider, a C-47 aircraft that carried paratroopers, historical objects and immersive interpretation of the D-Day drop and battles around Sainte-Mère-Église. The newer glider pavilion and renovated Occupation-and-Resistance route extend the museum’s aircraft and wartime interpretation. The operator reports ground-level or ramp access to each pavilion, with the C-47 platform as the one stated mobility exception; consult the operator for current access and programme details.
