Airbus Bremen

Airbus Bremen is a major aerospace production and engineering site whose work spans high-lift systems, wing equipment, space transportation, crewed-spaceflight hardware and the European Service Module for Orion. Its current public aerospace tour, listed by Bremen Tourism, runs Saturdays at 14:00 and 16:00, lasts about two hours, starts at Airbus Gate 1 on Cornelius-Edzard-Straße and is priced from €23; group tours are available by arrangement. The visit gives the public a rare view into European human-spaceflight heritage through a full-scale Columbus laboratory model and the simulation and diagnosis room supporting International Space Station operations; Bremen’s aerospace history also connects the site to Spacelab, Ariane and exploration missions. The industrial campus and tours are security-controlled: visitors must be at least 14 and bring an original physical passport or ID, and public-tour access is limited to EU or NATO nationals unless the provider agrees an individual offer. Photography is prohibited, there are no public toilets in the visitor centre and tours may be cancelled for operational reasons. The Columbus model is reached by stairs; the tour bus has one permanent wheelchair space with advance reservation, so accessibility remains limited.
