Airbus Hamburg Finkenwerder is a major commercial-aircraft production campus on the Elbe, with A320-family final assembly, structural work, cabin outfitting, painting, flight testing, delivery operations, engineering, and its own factory airfield. Current licensed public tours for individuals, families and groups check in at the ElbAir visitor centre (Neßdeich 189, 21129 Hamburg), then use a tour bus and on-foot sections to visit A320-family outfitting and final assembly and tour the wider campus. The standard tour runs daily, lasts about 2 hours 10 minutes plus 30 minutes of check-in and is listed from €32.90 per person in 2026; a shorter family tour runs about 1 hour 40 minutes and from €26.90. Tours require advance booking, an original physical identity document or passport, a minimum age of 12, closed sturdy shoes and German or English comprehension. Expect 1–2 km of walking and stairs with no seating; the operator says tours are not suitable for wheelchair users or people with walking impairments. Phones, photography, food and drink, pets and luggage are not allowed, and Airbus or site security may cancel or deny access for operational or safety reasons. Access is controlled by identity, security and operating requirements.
