Airworld Aviation Museum

Airworld Aviation Museum is a charitable-trust aviation museum, established in 1988, on the active Caernarfon Airport site at the former RAF Llandwrog in North Wales. Its collection includes the operator-described only surviving BAe Harrier T.2, Hawker Hunter F1, D.H. Vampire, Sea Hawk, Westland Whirlwind, Bristol Sycamore and other historic aircraft, with displays on RAF Llandwrog, North Wales wartime airfields and the RAF Mountain Rescue Service formed there in 1942. The museum says nearly all of the museum is wheelchair accessible, but cockpit steps and two small upstairs galleries are restricted; the hangar is not heated, and airport-building toilets are across the car park. No booking is required for admission: pay on entry; current operator prices are adults £7, pensioners £5, under 16 £5, and family (2 adults, 2 children) £20.
