Al Thuraya Astronomy Center

Al Thuraya Astronomy Center is Dubai Astronomy Group’s public astronomy destination in Mushrif Park, established in 2018 by directive of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to support astronomy education, tourism and Arabic astronomy heritage. The center combines the UAE’s first public observatory (M46), gallery and museum displays and models, Astro Academy, innovation, terrestrial and invention labs, meteorite and geology work, satellite and rocketry projects, planetarium and astro-cinema programmes, telescope and solar observation, virtual reality, Mars-landing and airplane simulators. The operator’s current contact page reports the center temporarily closed. When it reopens, the center itself has no entrance fee, but Mushrif Park access is listed as AED 10 per car or AED 3 per person through an existing Nol Card; pre-booking services is recommended. Published services include planetarium shows, telescope and solar observations, center tours, simulator and virtual-reality activities, subject to current availability.
