Al Thuraya Planetarium is Qatar’s first planetarium, opened in 2018 inside Katara Cultural Village in Doha. Its public astronomy destination combines a 200-seat Digistar dome and 22-metre screen for free Arabic- and English-language shows with interactive exhibits about astronomy, geology, atmosphere, weather and oceans. The adjoining museum presents spacecraft models, real NASA spacesuits, astronaut equipment and hands-on displays such as planetary-weight comparisons; a sea-facing terrace supports public education and events. The current Visit Qatar listing publishes daily visitor hours of 08:00–20:00, free entry, and first-come admission without show-ticket booking; show availability should be checked through the planetarium’s live events page. The planetarium is in Katara Cultural Village Building 41 and can be reached by the Al Qassar stop on Doha’s Red Line, by car or taxi. Visitor information lists +974 4408 2067. The operator’s published facility information identifies four seats for disabled visitors and four for elderly visitors in the 200-seat dome, subject to current availability.
