Alaska Aviation Museum

Alaska Aviation Museum is a nonprofit aviation-history museum on Anchorage’s Lake Hood Seaplane Base, preserving Alaska’s bush-flying, airline, military and exploration heritage through four exhibition hangars, vintage aircraft, engines, photographs and stories. Visitors can watch restoration work in the Cecil Higgins Restoration Hangar, view Lake Hood operations from the Seybert Tower and hear the Ted Stevens International Airport tower radio feed, and join docent-guided or school field-trip programs. The museum’s current official homepage lists public hours of 10:00–17:00, with Sunday noon–17:00 access. Published admission is $23 for non-residents, $19 for Alaska residents, $16 for seniors and military, $11 for children ages 3–13, free for children 2 and under and members, and $75 for a family of up to two adults and three children.
