Alcântara Space Center

Alcântara Space Center, the Centro de Lançamento de Alcântara (CLA), is Brazil’s launch and tracking center in Alcântara, Maranhão. Brazil’s Agência Espacial Brasileira describes the CLA mission as conducting launches and tracking of aerospace vehicles, collecting and processing payload data, and carrying out tests and experiments of interest to the Brazilian Air Force Command under Brazil’s national space policy. Its near-equatorial location supports orbital launch operations.
