Andøya Space Centre

Andøya Space is Norway’s operational space centre on Andøya, combining sounding-rocket and balloon research, defence and test services, and the Andøya Spaceport for polar and sun-synchronous orbital launches. The spaceport operates under a Norwegian permit, currently has one launch pad, and is designed to expand toward up to 30 missions per year as further infrastructure is completed. It is a controlled technical site with launch-related traffic and access restrictions; the Spaceship Aurora visitor centre is scheduled to close after the 2026 summer season, so confirm current visitor hours and ticket availability before travel.
