Archenhold Observatory

Archenhold Observatory is Germany’s oldest and largest public observatory in Berlin’s Treptower Park, founded in 1896 and home to the world’s longest movable refracting telescope. The Stiftung Planetarium Berlin presents a Museum of Celestial Science, a 31-seat planetarium, lectures, observations, and other scheduled events; the museum is free, while guided tours, observations, lectures, and planetarium programmes are ticketed. Visitor access follows current event listings rather than fixed daily museum hours, and individual or group guided tours can be arranged by appointment on Mondays. The museum and Einstein Hall are wheelchair accessible, but some listed-building areas are not fully accessible.
