ArianeGroup Vernon Cryogenic Test Centre

ArianeGroup’s Vernon site in Normandy, France, is a cryogenic propulsion research, production and test facility for space launchers. It designs, integrates and tests engines including Vulcain 2.1 and Vinci for Ariane 6, and develops and produces the reusable Prometheus engine. ArianeGroup describes its liquid-propellant propulsion test centre, with engine and component stands, as Europe’s largest. The site also supports development and some testing of MaiaSpace’s reusable launcher, and applies its liquid-hydrogen expertise to decarbonised mobility technologies.
