Ashburton Aviation Museum at Ashburton Airport in Mid-Canterbury preserves New Zealand aviation history through a collection that includes a GR3 Harrier VTOL jetfighter, 1933 Porterfield, B2 Canberra bomber cockpit, 1942 German Veihe glider, Skyhawk, photographs, models, medals, and memorabilia. The museum also interprets RNZAF Station Ashburton and the airport’s wartime training history.
