Ashburton Aviation Museum

Ashburton Aviation Museum at Ashburton Airport in Mid-Canterbury preserves New Zealand aviation history through more than 40 aircraft and related collections. Highlights include a GR3 Harrier VTOL jetfighter, 1933 Porterfield, B2 Canberra bomber cockpit, 1942 German Veihe glider and Skyhawk, alongside photographs, models, medals and memorabilia. The museum interprets RNZAF Station Ashburton and the airport’s wartime training history as a community-built regional heritage destination; aircraft loans and display access can change.
