Aviation Museum Burgas

Aviation Museum Burgas is a municipal airport-side museum at Burgas Airport in Sarafovo, opened to the public on June 29, 2017. It preserves Bulgarian civil-aviation heritage through ten aircraft including Tupolev Tu-154, Antonov An-12 (with the indoor Homo Volans exhibition), An-24, MiG-17, MiG-21, L-29, An-2, An-14, Mi-2 and Ka-26; visitors can enter selected aircraft and explore cockpit positions, models, uniforms, archives, flight-safety and navigation exhibits, a flight simulator and VR experiences. Operator hours are June 1–September 30 daily 09:00–20:00, and October 1–May 31 Wednesday–Sunday 09:00–17:00; ticket sales stop 30 minutes before closing. Individual admission is 6 Bulgarian leva (€3.07); children up to 6 and visitors with disabilities enter free. The museum warns visitors not to climb on aircraft or step on fuselages or wings. The first 10 minutes of parking at Burgas Airport are free, with airport parking fees applying thereafter; confirm current programme, admission and accessibility before travel.
