Aviation Museum Kbely, operated by the Military History Institute Prague, occupies the historic Prague-Kbely military airport and presents one of Europe’s largest aviation collections, focused on Czechoslovak and Czech aviation, especially military aviation. Its collection contains 275 aircraft overall, with 128 aircraft displayed across five hangars and outdoor areas, nearly 50 engines, aircraft parts, armament, and aviation-history exhibits; the public experience also includes the Stará Aerovka hangars, accessible exhibitions, and arranged school or group tours. The museum is open seasonally: Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–18:00 from May through September (Monday closed) and weekends 10:00–18:00 in October; last admission is 17:30 and entry is free.
