Aviation Museum Košice is the Slovak Technical Museum’s dedicated aviation branch beside Košice Airport and Slovakia’s first aviation museum. Since 2002, seven exhibitions across about 7,100 square metres have presented nearly 500 aircraft, engine, instrument, vehicle and historical artifacts from early flight to the recent past. Signature displays include Slovakia’s unique Messerschmitt Bf 109 G14/AS, Il-14 and Il-18, Yak-40, Mi-8, Su-25K, Su-22M4, MiG-21, MiG-29, Mi-24, Aero L-29, L-200, L-13 Blaník, a presidential-aircraft gallery with Tu-154M, donated Mirage/F-104/Viggen aircraft, historic engines, road-transport exhibits and space/astronautics material. The museum combines indoor and outdoor displays; current exhibitions, seasonal opening schedule, admission and last-entry rules can change, so check the Slovak Technical Museum before travel.
