Aviation Museum

Aviation Museum in Krumovo, a branch of Bulgaria’s National Museum of Military History since 2005, opened on September 21, 1991. It preserves Bulgaria’s military-aviation heritage through indoor and outdoor exhibitions of aircraft, helicopters, engines, armament, radio-location equipment, photographs, uniforms, models and astronautics material, including the Arado 196 A-3 Shark hydroplane, IL-2, Yak-9P and Bulgarian-designed Laz-7M. The operator lists summer exposition hours April-September Wednesday-Friday 09:00-18:00 and Saturday-Sunday 09:30-18:00; winter hours October-March Wednesday-Sunday 09:00-16:30, with ticket sales ending 30 minutes before closing. Children up to 7 and military personnel enter free; students, retirees and visitors with disabilities pay €1.02, outdoor admission is €2.05, combined indoor/outdoor admission €4.09, and a family ticket is €6.14. The last Wednesday of each month is free. Guided tours in Bulgarian or English cost €15.34, specialized tours €30.68, and the age-7+ outdoor VR set costs €2.05 with a €10.23 deposit. The museum is reached by car via the Plovdiv-Asenovgrad road or by train to Mavrudovo stop.
