Boscombe Down Aviation Collection is a charity museum in Hangar 1 South at historic Old Sarum Airfield, separate from MOD Boscombe Down. Its volunteer collection interprets more than a century of flight and flight testing in the Wessex area and the former 1917 Royal Flying Corps hangars, with aircraft such as Canberra B2 and Avro 707, Sea Hawk and Sea Vixen cockpits, flight-test artifacts, weapons, trials equipment, models, uniforms, photographs and personal records. Visitors can explore cockpits, restoration work and selected simulators while the operator manages the seasonal public calendar. Level access can be arranged at the hangar doors; some cockpit, narrow-walkway and uneven-surface areas have limits, so visitors should check the live operator guidance.
