Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex

Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex (CDSCC) is one of NASA's three Deep Space Network stations, operated by CSIRO at Tidbinbilla southwest of Canberra for continuous two-way communication with robotic spacecraft and radio science. Its public visitor centre is open Saturdays and Sundays 10:00 AM–4:00 PM; additional ACT school-holiday days vary, and general visitors need no booking. Entry is free, with Moon rock, spacecraft models, flown hardware, films and antenna views. The site is about 35 km and 40–45 minutes from Canberra, with limited mobile coverage, no on-site fuel, rough and winding roads and wildlife; the café and gift shop are currently closed.
