Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum

Cape Canaveral Space Force Museum, formerly the Air Force Space & Missile Museum, has been open since 1966 and preserves launch-era hardware and history of U.S. military spaceflight at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Its facilities include the Exhibit Hall, Rocket Garden, Launch Complex 26, Launch Complex 5/6, Hangar C and the Sands Space History Center; displays cover Delta, Navaho, Thor, Atlas, Gemini, V-2, Explorer 1 and other launch hardware. The Sands Space History Center at 100 Space Port Way, Building 90328, just outside the south gate, is a free public extension with no scheduled tour required; current normal hours are Tuesday–Friday 09:00–16:00, Saturday 09:00–17:00 and Sunday 12:00–16:00, closed Monday. A tour is required for access to most museum exhibits and facilities on the active station, and military ID alone does not grant access.
