Cape Canaveral Space Force Station is Space Launch Delta 45’s Eastern Range launch installation, established in 1949 and supporting military, NASA and commercial launches. It is a restricted-access base, not open to the general public, and its Visitor Control Center facilitates lawful official entry rather than tourism; Space Force says it does not offer base tours or public viewing facilities. The public may watch launches from approved off-base areas such as Brevard County beaches and riverfront locations, subject to safety zones and Coast Guard instructions. Access rules currently require REAL ID-compliant identification and official or sponsored pass procedures; launch viewing tickets or escorted events are exceptional and mission-dependent. Check current SLD 45 visitor, launch and safety guidance before travel.
