Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum

Carnarvon Space and Technology Museum is a volunteer-run museum at the former OTC Satellite Earth Station in Brown Range, preserving Western Australia’s role in early crewed-space communications. It interprets the Carnarvon Tracking Station’s support for Gemini, Apollo and Skylab and the OTC antennas that relayed Apollo 11 television into Western Australia. Displays include original earth-station structures, full-size Gemini and Apollo capsule exhibits, Mercury/Gemini/Apollo consoles, Skylab and NASA/OTC memorabilia, a full-size Mercury-Redstone rocket mock-up, interactive exhibits, a planetarium and space theatre. The museum opened on the site in 2012. The operator lists April–September hours 9:00–16:00 and October–March 10:00–14:00, open daily except Christmas Day, with adult admission $20, seniors/pensioners $15, students 6–18 $10 and family admission $45.
