Central Australian Aviation Museum

The Central Australian Aviation Museum occupies the heritage-listed Connellan Airways hangar on the site of Alice Springs' first Townsite aerodrome. Its volunteer-run public collection tells the story of pioneering aviation in Central Australia through early Royal Flying Doctor Service aircraft, a restored DC-3, the Connellan Airways story, historic radios and aircraft memorabilia, the Townsite aerodrome display and the Kookaburra aviation heritage story. The museum's current official site publishes Wednesday–Sunday visitor access from 11:00–15:00 with entry by donation; the NT Araluen Arts Centre independently confirms the aviation museum's public access and its place in the cultural precinct.
