Central House of Aviation and Cosmonautics DOSAAF Russia is Moscow's historic public aviation-and-space museum, founded in 1924 in a 1900 building at 4 Krasnoarmeyskaya Street. Its eight thematic halls cover the development of aircraft, aviation engines and documents, rocketry, early rocket engines, first artificial satellites, Laika's training cabin, cosmonaut equipment, space food and a Buran spacecraft simulator cabin, alongside a Yuri Gagarin memorial room. The museum's current official notice says the visitor museum is temporarily closed from 15 June through 15 August; the institution remains active with public engineering and unmanned-aviation education and publishes excursion contact details for reopening planning.
