Centro de Visitantes del Roque de los Muchachos

Centro de Visitantes del Roque de los Muchachos is the public astronomy centre beside La Palma's international observatory. Its basalt-clad building presents three permanent galleries: the Canary Islands' observing conditions, current knowledge of the Universe, and the mountain's natural environment. Multimedia interpretation introduces the IAC and the telescopes operating nearby, while the centre also serves as the recommended preparation and meeting point for guided visits into the working observatory. The visitor centre publishes daily public hours of 10:00–17:00; IAC observatory tours are currently available by advance reservation in small daytime groups, subject to research operations and weather.
