Cheia Satellite Communications Centre

RARTEL’s CHEIA Satellite Communications Centre in Prahova, Romania, is a commercially operated teleport and ground-segment site with 12 antennas across approximately 20,000 m². RARTEL describes satellite communications, ground systems and operational services from the centre, while Telespazio identifies it as the Cheia Space Centre and ground station. EUMETSAT’s current ground-segment page identifies Cheia as an MSG primary ground station and an MTG tracking, telecommanding and telemetry ground station, with data routed to EUMETSAT’s Mission Control Centre in Darmstadt.
