Chernivtsi Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics

Chernivtsi Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics is a public aerospace-education destination opened in 1999 after Ukrainian astronaut Leonid Kadenyuk’s STS-87 mission. Its two permanent sections trace aviation history and space research through more than 2,500 aircraft models, badges, postcards, photographs and documents, alongside genuine aircraft parts and instruments such as a 1928 fighter propeller and a flight recorder. The museum connects Ukrainian aviation and space history with Kadenyuk’s legacy; current visits and any accessibility arrangements follow the city and youth-technical-centre visitor guidance.
