Clin d’Ailes, the Military Aviation Museum of Payerne, preserves Swiss military aviation from the post-war era to the present in a roughly 3,500-square-metre museum beside the operational Payerne Air Base. Two halls display nine aircraft and two helicopters with engines, radios, a command-post reconstruction, squadron heritage, a flight simulator, model collections and the Espace Claude Nicollier space-hardware display; terraces overlook the runway and taxiway, where visitors may observe Swiss military aircraft when operations permit. The ground-floor entrance and upper gallery are wheelchair accessible via an elevator, while current hours, reservations and airfield arrangements should be confirmed with the operator.
