Comox Air Force Museum

Comox Air Force Museum and Heritage Air Park at 19 Wing Comox preserve the role and history of CFB/RCAF/RAF service and West Coast military aviation. Founded in 1982 as part of the Air Force Indoctrination School, the museum became an accredited stand-alone Canadian Forces Museum and opened to the public in 1987. Galleries cover local British Columbia aviation figures, squadron histories, the Colwell Diary and a Great Escape tunnel replica, supported by library/logbook research resources and educational tours. The nearby Heritage Air Park, about 600 metres away on Military Row/Little River Road, displays aircraft that flew at 19 Wing Comox—from the Dakota to the Aurora—alongside Heritage Stones and search-and-rescue memorials. Admission is by donation and access is operator/base controlled. The homepage currently lists Tuesday–Sunday opening hours of 10:00–16:00, but it also carries a latest-update notice saying the museum is closed to the public until April 3 without specifying a year; verify reopening, entry requirements and base access before travel.
