Cosmosphere

Cosmosphere is a dedicated public space museum and science-education center in Hutchinson, Kansas. Its Hall of Space presents flown spacecraft, Apollo spacesuits, an Apollo 13 command module, Apollo hardware, an Atlas booster engine, a moon rock and American and Russian spaceflight artifacts. The visitor experience also includes the Carey Digital Dome Theater, Justice Planetarium, Dr. Goddard’s Rocket Lab, CosmoKids, interactive docking/rocket exhibits, the naviGATOR flight simulator and docent-guided tours. The operator currently lists daily 09:00–19:00 access at 1100 N. Plum Street. Its All-Access Mission Pass is $32.50 for adults, $29.25 for seniors 60+ and military, $22.75 for children ages 4–12, and free for children 3 and under; the pass includes all exhibits and one ticket each to the Carey Digital Dome Theater, Justice Planetarium, Dr. Goddard’s Lab and naviGATOR simulator. Free docent-guided Hall of Space tours are offered every other Saturday at 11:00 and 14:00 without reservation, subject to limited space and cancellation. Public areas, the Hall of Space and restrooms are wheelchair accessible; wheelchairs, an electric scooter and strollers are available free on a first-come basis. Trained service animals are welcome, while pets and emotional-support animals are not allowed. Allow several hours for the full experience.
