Croydon Aviation Heritage Centre at Old Mandeville Airfield in Mandeville, Southland, preserves and celebrates New Zealand’s civil-aviation heritage through a nationally significant collection focused on de Havilland aircraft from the 1920s and 1930s, pioneer-aviator stories, restoration work and aircraft that are maintained to fly. The operator describes the collection as the largest de Havilland collection in the Southern Hemisphere; exhibits include the Tiger Moth, Fox Moth, Dragonfly, Dominie, Aermacchi and a replica of the 1910 Pither monoplane. Vintage aircraft flights are available separately. Standard admission is NZ$12; students with ID and senior citizens are NZ$10; children 12 and under enter free with an accompanying adult.
