Davao Ground Receiving Station

Davao Ground Receiving Station is PhilSA's Mindanao satellite ground-segment facility at the CAAP Davao Radio Transmitter Facility in Buhangin, Davao City. Inaugurated on 8 November 2019 under DOST-ASTI’s Philippine Earth Data Resource and Observation (PEDRO) Center, it added capacity and redundancy to the Quezon City ground station. Operated with DOST-ASTI, it houses a 7.3-metre tracking antenna and receives, processes and distributes Earth-observation data while providing redundant capacity for satellite command and data operations. Recent DOST-ASTI reporting also documents active spectrum-monitoring work at the station. The station sits inside a secured aviation communications compound; current operator material publishes no routine public-opening route, so contact PhilSA or DOST-ASTI before travelling and do not assume walk-in access.
