Deutsches Segelflugmuseum mit Modellflug

Deutsches Segelflugmuseum mit Modellflug is the German gliding and model-flight museum at Wasserkuppe, the birthplace of gliding. Its approximately 4,000 m² exhibition presents more than 100 years of gliding and model-flight history through full-size gliders, historically important models, engines and educational exhibits, including about 60 original or replica aircraft. The operator publishes daily 10:00–17:00 access from 1 April through 31 October; weekend-only 10:00–17:00 access from 1 November through 19 December and 11 January through 31 March; and daily 10:00–17:00 access from 20 December through 10 January, with 24 and 31 December closures. Admission is €7 from age 16, €5 reduced, €5 per person for groups of 15 or more, and free for children up to 15; guided tours require advance arrangement. The museum states that it is barrier-free; children up to 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
