Djibouti Spaceport

A large spaceport project under construction in Djibouti, in the Horn of Africa. Developed through a $1 billion memorandum of understanding with Hong Kong Aerospace Technology Group Limited (HKATG), it is designed to include seven satellite launch pads and three rocket testing platforms. It will also have supporting infrastructure such as a seaport facility, power grid, and highways to manage heavy aerospace cargo. Leveraging Djibouti's proximity to the equator, it aims to reduce fuel costs for geostationary launches. Commercial launches are expected to begin by 2028.
