Dwingeloo Radio Telescope

Dwingeloo Radio Telescope is a restored 25-metre heritage instrument operated by CAMRAS for education, amateur radio astronomy, spacecraft-signal reception, and public demonstrations. Public openings occur on selected Sundays and Wednesdays during school holidays and at announced astronomy, heritage, science, and dark-sky events; group tours are also available by request. Visitors enter via the former director's residence, Muller House, at Oude Hoogeveensedijk 6—not the information boards along the sandy road. Registration is mandatory, tours last about 40 minutes, and the telescope admits at most 15 people per group; equipment faults may remove the demonstration, while thunderstorms, strong winds, snow, or ice can cancel tours.
