EAA Aviation Museum

The EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is a year-round public aviation museum beside Wittman Regional Airport, with more than 200 historic airplanes and 20,000 artifacts across galleries including the Eagle Hangar, KidVenture Gallery and Tower of Flight. The present Oshkosh museum facility was built in 1983, while the collection traces to a 1962 donation of Steve Wittman’s racer Bonzo. During the summer season, Pioneer Airport presents vintage aircraft in period hangars and may offer weather- and volunteer-dependent flights. The operator currently lists museum hours Monday-Sunday 10:00-17:00, with closures on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; extended hours may apply during AirVenture. Pioneer Airport is generally open Saturdays and Sundays from the first weekend in May through the second weekend in October, and daily 10:30-16:30 from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Admission is 15 USD for adults age 19+, 13 USD for seniors age 62+ and veterans, active military personnel and spouses, 12 USD for youth ages 6-18, free for children 5 and under and EAA members, and 37 USD for a family rate covering two adults and up to five immediate family members or children. All museum areas are accessible by ramps and elevators; free wheelchairs and ADA-compliant restrooms are available. The museum is at 3000 Poberezny Road, Oshkosh, Wisconsin 54902, United States; visitors flying in should use Basler Flight Services at Wittman Regional Airport, where a free shuttle is available.
