Esrange Ground Station

SSC Space’s Esrange Ground Station is satellite ground-station infrastructure within Esrange Space Center near Kiruna, Sweden. It includes multiple independent S-band telemetry, tracking and command systems with 7.3- to 13.5-metre antennas, multiple receive systems in S-, X- and Ka-band for Earth-observation data, and 4-metre-class S/X/Ka antennas supporting SSC Space Go. SSC describes polar-orbiting satellite contacts, remote-sensing data acquisition, telemetry, tracking, command and launch-and-early-orbit services, backup power and generation, and the Kiruna side of its Kinuvik concept with Inuvik. SSC’s Visitor Center is a separate public destination outside the security gate; SSC says the secured Esrange Space Center itself is not open to the public, and inside-site visits require arrangements with SSC.
