Esrange Visitor Center

Esrange Visitor Center is the public gateway exhibition at Swedish Space Corporation’s Esrange Space Center, outside the security gate about 45 km northeast of Kiruna at the end of Paksuniemi Road. Esrange supports sounding rockets, scientific balloons, satellite ground services and emerging orbital-launch activity; the operational compound itself is not open to the public. The usually unmanned Visitor Center is open daily 08:00–18:00, welcomes walk-in visitors without booking, and has no public transport, so travel by car or taxi and follow SSC directions. Groups seeking approved inside-site access must contact SSC. During launches or rocket-engine tests, the Visitor Center may be closed; follow SSC safety messages and leave the active safety zone when instructed.
