Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum

Farnborough Air Sciences Trust Museum preserves Farnborough’s aviation-science heritage in historic Trenchard House, the former Army Balloon School and a birthplace of early Royal Flying Corps squadrons. Its collection spans aircraft, Royal Aircraft Factory and Royal Aircraft Establishment material, Sir Frank Whittle’s jet-engine work, a full-size Cody Flyer replica, Black Arrow rocket hardware, wind-tunnel models and demonstrations, flight simulators and archives. Public opening is limited to selected weekends and Bank Holiday Mondays; volunteer staffing can affect simulator and cockpit access, while guided and education tours require advance booking. Admission is generally free with donations welcome, although special events or exhibitions may differ. The museum is wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets, volunteer assistance, free on-site parking and well-behaved dogs allowed on leads.
